Overall we had a great stay there was an issue when we arrived but the staff was quick to resolve it which we appreciated. The place we had was very nice and clean and looked to be remodeled, it definitely has a beach/vacation feel. The place was private and only a few steps from the beach.

Perfect location! It was private, very clean and comfortable! Walking distance to the beach, great restaurants nearby and only a very short drive to the ferry! An added bonus that they are pet friendly! Thank you for the wonderful trip!

My husband and I spent a long weekend here with our two dogs. Loved the location! Kitchen was well stocked, house was clean and beds were comfy! Highly recommend for couples and especially if you are traveling with dogs.

Great Dog friendly stay.
We are traveling long distance with our large dog and this place was so clean and dog friendly with a deck in back and front for him to hang out. Very nice beach furniture and decor, well equipped kitchen and even a Dyson to help with the hair and sand the dog brought in. So appreciate owners that allow pets, we were sure to clean up the extra sand he brought in - please always be a responsible pet owner when staying in a VRBO so owners continue to offer this special opportunity!

Wonderful place, a secret charm. I felt like Anne Morrow Lindbergh - author of the book, Gifts of the Sea - which was on display in the living room. Simple, spacious, just perfect for my husband and I or me to run away to! LOL.

Great place! Clean, comfortable bed, close to the beach. If you can’t find it, it’s on the second floor on the right hand side, above the deli. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook.

Sparkly clean and nicely set up apartment. We liked that it was right near gift shops and a nice deli, and has a beach access right nearby. Loved our stay, and will definitely return.

My fiancé and I loved our little getaway. We both verbally said “This place is worth 5 stars.” The location was wonderful. It was easy access to the beach and within a short distance to a lot of fun things! The Stowe Away was a beautiful little retreat. I will be recommending this place to others!

My husband & I enjoyed our stay here! We loved hearing the beach from our covered balcony and it only being a few minutes walk away. Bed was very comfortable and the place was very clean when we arrived. Would suggest this to friends to rent out for two people!

My husband and I stayed here with our pup, and we couldn't have asked for a better place! It is a beautifully designed, modern apartment that is conveniently located in Hatteras. It had all the amenities we could want (and more), and it was clear they pay attention to details. We said it may have been our favorite rental of all the places we have stayed up and down the OBX sandbar over the years!

Great cozy, renovated, clean apartment. You will have everything you need including washing machine, dryer, blender, toaster etc. Apartment is spacious and bright. You can walk to the beach, which we found very convenient. There is a local grocery store nearby, which was amazing. KEES is very responsive and helpful when we needed their assistance. Also, you can bring your dog there, which is amazing for pet owners.

Great little spot a short walk from the beach. Nice and quiet, plenty of room for me, my wife, and our dog. Only a mile or so from some awesome dinner places too. All around a very pleasant stay.

I loved the Stowe Away at 12. It was peaceful, clean and had a home away from home feel to it. The bed was comfortable. The space was nice and the decor was on point. We will be back in the near future.

Excellent location at the northern end of Hatteras village that is close to everything, but just far enough away to provide a more relaxed atmosphere. You can walk across the street to the pool and to beach access which is a huge plus (don't underestimate how convenient that is). The place was clean, spacious and comfortable: great bed! Most rentals try to put two small bedrooms into a place this size, so having the extra room all around was really, really nice. We are already trying to plan a return trip!

Beautiful oasis.. I felt like I was home away from home. The hospitality was superb. They had a chef,jeep on suggestion. The condo was updated and luxurious. I can not wait to return. Thank you for sharing space.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kees’s place. The location was easy to find and clean. It was an easy walk to a clean, pretty quiet beach. Being able to bring our two dogs made the stay so much more enjoyable. Kees gave great recommendations. We would definitely stay again.

The only issues we had did not have to deal with the Airbnb space itself but rather the neighbors. We visited off-season and had a couple unpleasant interactions with self-described “locals,” despite trying to keep to ourselves. I would gladly stay again for the beaches but do not expect any southern hospitality.

It is above a deli and small shops so have that in mind when you go. It's around back and upstairs so you have your own private space. Otherwise, it was a LOVELY place with nice touches in the decor. The bed is much better than most hotel/rental places! It's just near the Hatteras Water Tower and about a block from the beach itself. We would highly recommend this property!

We had a great time at Stowe Away. It's on a sleepy part of the island, with really close beach access. This would be a great AirBnB for an extended stay with good amenities. Really great spot.

The space is beautifully decorated - comfy and stylish. I spent a lot of the time in the unit reading - ended up reading something they had there vs my own book and took a moment to color in one of the adult coloring books. Cooked in the kitchen. Loved all the things they had available to us especially in the way of kitchen utensils and cookware. We shopped at the local markets nearby and everyone was friendly and helpful; recommended a couple places we could get fresh shrimp. The bed was very comfortable. The neighbors in the unit over, while you couldn’t heR their conversations, they kept banging on something (maybe crabs?🤷‍♀️) - we never crossed paths with anyone. It was peaceful for the most part. Shops were mostly closed. Enjoyed the balcony sun and sounds of the ocean. Not much of view. Not much foot traffic. Never got to see the pool. Not many restaurants or shops open due to the season or closings (not sure they survived 2020). We fished at the Point. Not too busy. Nice folks. Had a great pizza at the local pizza joint. Didn’t get to the other restaurants due to the short stay. Loved the kitchen and enjoyed cooking there. I’d hoped to schedule a trip back before I left.
