Where is Atlantic Shores Located?
Atlantic Shores is a charming semi-oceanfront community nestled in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, NC, situated along the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina. It offers a setting for the perfect place to have a OBX family vacation getaway and stunning views of the Avalon Pier. The Atlantic Shores is located semi-oceanfront meaning one row back from the oceanfront only a short walk to the sand.
There are two ways to get to Atlantic Shores — driving and flying. The closest international airport is in Norfolk, VA (ORF). After landing in Norfolk, you will then head south on NC 168 and US 158 (Croatan Hwy) where you will drive over the Wright Brothers Memorial Bridge. When you get to the road signs pointing you to Kill Devil Hills (going South), you will turn right. Continue down the 158 bypass, through the Town of Kitty Hawk and you will arrive at Kill Devil Hills. You can also use NC12 (aka the beach road) and go past the Avalon Pier. Atlantic Shores is on the right.
Atlantic Shores Resort has the following rules and restrictions:
There is no parking on the streets, grass, or side of the road.
No RVs, ATVs, campers, golf carts, gas or electric scooters, or boats are allowed in the community.
Trailers, boats (on boat trailers only), and jet skis (on trailer only) are allowed to be parked on the property ONLY if they fit in the “carport” or “under the house”. If the home has no space under it, it cannot be parked in the community.
Please do not leave any beach gear — chairs, canopies, umbrellas, etc. — on the beach and/or on the walkways throughout the community. Any items left after sunset will be subject to confiscation per the Town of Kill Devil Hills.
Remember that these rules are for the safety of all of our guests. We prioritize the safety and comfort of all our guests. Please try and abide by all of the posted rules and restrictions.
The name of the restaurant near Atlantic Shores is called Awful Arthurs just a short walk south. It is a long-standing family favorite on the Outer Banks for seafood! The Avalon Pier nearby serves finger food and beverages, but not your typical restaurant. Avalon Pier's StoneFish Beach Bar is two floors with an incredible view and is open late night for fun and excitement. There is an arcade there for the family to enjoy.
Atlantic Shores vacation rentals take pride in offering an extensive array of in-house amenities to enhance your vacation experience. These are all located at the home, as there are no direct community amenities at this time.
The entire community is a short walk to the beach.
