Coats for Kids Currituck (& Dare)
The Outer Banks is home to thousands of families who make our community special, from the folks who keep our beaches beautiful to families who've called these barrier islands home for generations.
When temperatures drop, not every child has a warm coat for the bus stop or recess. This fall, KEES Vacations is running our Coats for Kids drive with One Warm Coat to help close that gap before winter sets in.
Every coat dropped off stays right here, warming a Currituck or Dare County kid this winter.
Drive runs now through Tuesday, December 1, 2026
Bring new or gently worn, clean coats in all kids' sizes. Hats, gloves, mittens and scarves are welcome too.
KEES Vacations Main Office: 6810 Caratoke Hwy, Grandy, NC 27939
KEES Vacations Hatteras: 58822 Marina Way, Suite A, Hatteras, NC 27943 (limited hours, please call ahead)
Drop-offs accepted through Tuesday, December 1, 2026
Not near a drop-off? You can give through our One Warm Coat drive page:

Online gifts are processed by One Warm Coat, the national nonprofit behind our drive, and support its work getting free coats to kids and adults in need.
One Warm Coat has been helping communities collect coats and give them away free, directly to people in need, since 1992. This year, every coat brought to a KEES office goes to kids and families in Currituck and Dare counties.
We'll share how many coats we collected after the drive wraps up. Thank you for helping us make that number big.
