Are you ready for your Salt Spray, oceanfront vacation? Take a dip in your own private pool or hang out underneath the carport. Stare up at the starry sky as you relax in your own private hot tub. There is an outdoor shower for you to use to clean up before going inside. For the grill masters of the group, they will enjoy the gas grill provided. There is an elevator here to help carry your items up. (Please note that the elevator reaches up to the third level, with the fourth level easily accessible by stairs.)
On the second level, challenge your friends to a game of pool or arcade and enjoy libations from the wet bar. If you'd rather read your favorite book, enjoy the sitting area on this level. As far as sleeping accommodations go, you can choose between the King En Suite with its own private bathroom and deck access, the King Bedroom, or the double Bunk Bedroom. Those two rooms share a full bathroom that is located in the hallway. There are two deck access off of the recreation room. Step outside and enjoy the view! It doesn't get any better than this.
Up on the third level is where memories are sure to be created! Look out the vast windows and catch a glimpse of the Atlantic Ocean staring at you. Feel free to open a window to catch some breezes off the beach. On this level, you will find a full, modern kitchen with bar stool seating, a half bathroom, and a comfortable great room with an electric fireplace. There is a dining table to enjoy a great meal together or play your favorite board games. Venture out onto the outdoor deck and enjoy your favorite beverage while you listen to the outdoor sounds of the Outer Banks. Who gets to enjoy the King En Suite with deck access? There is one of those on this level as well. An added bonus is the laundry room on this level!
Your group will have to draw straws to determine who gets to sleep on the fourth level. Up here is its own King En Suite with deck access which faces the ocean. With this kind of privacy and the view, whoever stays up here is not going to want to leave!
When it is time to go to the beach, there is a private beach walkway for the entire oceanfront community to use. You will find bench seating and a gazebo as you walk towards the ocean. The view from the top of the steps never gets old.
Village Beach Club
Guests of our home enjoy access to the exclusive Village Beach Club, a premier oceanfront retreat in the heart of Nags Head, just 6.9 miles from The Tides.
This private club offers a large oceanfront pool, kiddie pool, parking, and direct beach access with showers and changing facilities, making it easy to go from sand to poolside in mere minutes. You will also find a casual restaurant and bar, shaded lounge areas, and seasonal activities perfect for families or a relaxing solo escape. It's the ideal spot to unwind for a day on the Outer Banks.
Parking is $25 per car per day and access to the pool and beach is free. The Village Beach Club is open May 1 to October 1, with the club itself open until 5:00pm. The community pool is open daily from 9:00am to 4:30pm, May 25 to September 7, 2026.
Westside Athletic Club Family Pass Included for FREE with Your Stay!
Complimentary access to Westside Athletic Club fitness center, pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and basketball courts. Classes and lessons are available for an additional fee. Family pass includes all 10 guests! Fitness Center is open all year round. Pool is open from Monday-Friday 6am-7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Guests are welcome to use the pool on check-in day as we prepare for your arrival.

This service is subject to local ordinances. Cabana service is provided by Farmdog Beach Services. Additional add-on services are available upon request for an additional charge.**
**Want added comfort? Consider adding the Heated Pool option! A Heated Pool option can be added upon request for $100 per night of your reservation. This fee is added to your reservation at the time of the request, which must be a minimum of 72 hours before arrival. Pool heat must be added for the entirety of your stay.
This pool is heated by a heat pump. An ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.**
**Private heated pool will open on April 1st and close on November 1st. Hot tubs are open all year. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6 p.m. on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter the backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. No pets allowed in pools.**
**Salt Spray is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $185, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.**

The only thing that would make our stay better is more time! Everything was clean and comfortable for the entire family! We came away with some amazing memories! The beaches at the OBX are the most beautiful beaches regardless of the temperature. We had a great 27th wedding anniversary! Plenty of space, a spectacular view, nice boardwalk with handrails direct to the beach right beside the house. Found amazingly intact shells for my collection. With the pool table, video arcade, pool, hot tub and spacious kitchen there is much to do when you just want a chill day. This place is divine. For a group of 12 people with young kids, this place has something for everyone. The highlight of this wonderful place is the beachfront experience. Waking up to a beautiful sunrise and feeling the waves was outstanding and extremely relaxing. Additionally, the pathway to the beach is very convenient. The pool and jacuzzi were surely a treat. My kids enjoyed thoroughly and didn’t want to leave. Truly a rewarding and enjoyable experience overall and would surely recommend this place.

Q: Is a Saturday or Sunday check-in required?A:With KEES FlexStay you can start your vacation any day of the week. This allows KEES guests to choose a traditional full-week or partial full-week Outer Banks vacation.
Q: Can I book this home with a group?A:The Tides is the perfect oceanfront community to book with a group! The layout of the property is great for multiple families/groups within the group to book their own house but be close to everyone. Please contact KEES at 866-316-1483 if you need help booking multiple units.
Q: What extras are included with our rental?A:In addition to the KEES standard amenities such as freshly made beds and towels, all units will receive a beachside umbrella and beach chairs set up during their stay. This exclusive umbrella service is through Farmdog Beach Services and is available from 05/04/24 through 09/30/24. Service includes (1) umbrella and (4) beach chairs. Setup hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm daily (except check-in day), weather permitting. This service is subject to local ordinances. Please see our listing for the full list of extras included.
Q: What time is check-in and check-out? Is it possible to request an early check-in?A:Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am. Once the home has been inspected and the appropriate services have been completed for your arrival, we will allow you to check into the home.
Q: When is the pool open?A:Private heated pools will open on April 1st and close on November 1st. A Heated Pool option can be added upon request for an additional fee. Please read the unit description for more details.
Q: For the oceanfront units with hot tubs, is the hot tub open year-round?A:Absolutely! You get to enjoy them all year.
Q: What is the parking situation?A:There’s plenty of parking designated for each home at The Tides with ample height for your vehicles to fit. Please note that no trailers or RVs are allowed. Please view our photo gallery for diagrams showing the parking layout.
Q: We have a trailer; is there somewhere we can park it?A:Due to the unique oceanside location, there is no extra parking available at The Tides aside from what is available listed on the website. Please call KEES at 866-316-1483 before booking and we will do our best to assist you with nearby off-site accommodation.
Q: When will pictures of the furnishings be availableA:Photos will be available in late March 2024. We are furnishing the home and decorating the home over late February and early March and adding lots of little details to make it cozy and comfy!
Q: Is there an ironing board & iron included on one of the levels?A:Absolutely
Q: Is their ocean view from the 3rd deck as no pics were included at that level. 2nd deck showed dune obstruction and 4th deck was gorgeous but required stair transition w/no elevator access to that levelA:The first floor is the entry way, the second floor is where you will see the pool table and a few bedrooms, it is obstructed by the dune. The third floor is where the living room is and there's a fantastic view of the ocean from inside the home, the bedroom, and the deck! We have photos of that in the listing. You can actually see the ocean from inside the elevator. The fourth floor requires steps and there's a great view from that balcony.
