Awesome vacation
We had 6 adults staying in a 3 bed/2 bath cottage. Loads of room. The kitchen was very handy with anything you could need, a dishwasher and wine opener were pleasant surprises. We made a sit down dinner for all of us and all sat at the table together. The ocean is so close you can hear it. It is right there and wonderfully convenient. I highly recommend the Whakebone Cottages and I will be returning with my family in June.

Great beach front stay
We were looking for somewhere close to the beach so we would be able to go back and forth with littles. This was a convenient location and an enjoyable stay. House was clean, plenty of amenities. Lots of room for our family and friends. We would come visit Nags Head and stay at the beach house again.

My elderly parents stayed with us and I was concerned about the access to the beach, but the walk was so easy, a ramp and a few steps right over the dune and to the sand.

Whalebone D was a comfortable place for three adult sisters and two other family members to enjoy a quiet few days at the beach in the winter.

Very nice location. Beds comfy, kitchen had plenty of utensils, plates, bowls etc. Nice shower with plenty of pressure and nice hot water.

Our Time Together
This property was clean,and accurately described. However, it was smaller than the pictures present. Their were ten of us and the living room area could not accommodate all of us at one time. There is no washer and dryer so this is a problem when you are their 6 days. Beach access was wonderful and pool was clean and well stocked with chairs.

We arrived in the Outer Banks and the home we booked with another company was not habitable. We called around and Kees was able to meet our needs. There was an issue with the furnace that they were able to address. I look forward to booking my next trip with Kees.

Whalebone Cottage D
Our family of 5 totally enjoyed this lovely cottage. It has all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay and to cook all our food including a BBQ outside for our burgers! It was very clean and up to date with amenities. The beach was very close and the public pool looked very clean, just a little chilly for the time of year to enjoy, summer time would be great to swim there. We would highly recommend these Whalebone cottages!

Great location! Very easy check in! The kitchen has all the cooking essentials plus some! We were very impressed by how well stocked the kitchen was with different tools and appliances! It made staying home and cooking a breeze, which is super important in the uncertain times of covid! We would definitely stay again!

This is an excellent property: immaculate, great layout, and a well stocked kitchen.
Location is ocean front, just over the dunes and a few minutes from the pier.
Highly recommended.

First time staying in this cottage with my family and we all enjoyed it. It was more spacious then I thought. I loved the location where the house was. Was close to the beach. The pool was nice. Clean! Will definitely be back!
