Great place if you want something private but still close to OBX. Was perfect for our dogs giving them a safe place to run around. The view from the house is absolutely stunning. House was clean and kitchen had everything we needed to make meals.

We had a wonderful time and our dogs loved the fenced in yard and the quiet lane to go for walks on. The house is close to the beaches and groceries, and the neighborhood reminds me of a peaceful country road as opposed to 15 minutes from the beach. If you're looking for a great home base for the OBX that has an awesome view of the sound this is the place for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The home was cozy we could fish from the dock. It was relaxing, although during our stay we had rain and high winds out of the north. Had a fenced in area we could let our pup run around in. When we go back we will plan to stay at this location again.

We visited Corolla and Manteo for day trips with the house perfectly located in between the two. The location was very quiet and away from the crowds so was very relaxing. We didn't want to leave but we will use this property again.

Super cute cottage on the bay. Had a great time fishing off the dock. Close to Obx beaches and good restaurants. Tropical storm debby didn’t get us down. We played lots of different board games and caught up on some reading. The linens included in the stay were great. The small touches like sponges, small dish soap and dish detergent tablet along with the tiny bottle of Greek oil for cooking and tiny salt and pepper shakers really impressed. The whole house water filter and softener was super. Great hot shower! King bed was comfy and clean. The grounds are fabulous. And our child and fur child enjoyed the bridge. The mosquitos also enjoyed me(which is anywhere I am) so I didn’t spend much time out there. Dog friendly.

This was the perfect place to stay in OBX. All the fun of being on the water without the sand. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The house is set up perfect for sitting and relaxing while watching the water and wildlife. We, including the dog, enjoyed swimming off the dock. Speaking of the dog this house was very pet friendly. I appreciated the small touches that made her welcomed too. The kitchen had all the things you need. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. They also have a filtration system for the water so no need to buy bottled water. All in all would highly recommend this for your OBX stay. We plan to stay here again!

Love this place second time we’ve stayed, but this time we brought our boat we had just purchased and was going to use the boatlift and there was no rubber or carpet. Nothing to protect the boat just raw wood so not able to put the boat in the water, other than that this place is beautiful highly recommend

Great getaway
Beautiful cozy home that lets you stay with your dog! The fenced in yard is great! Be sure and fish off the dock use 1/3 of a shrimp....my wife caught a 17in red fish! House is clean with more towels than you could ever use....all in all a great stay at a great price! The neighbor even offered to let me use his hose to wash down my boat! We will definitely be back for another stay!

We loved the house and huge front yard. The fenced in front yard was perfect for our 2 dogs. The house was very clean and spacious. Absolutely loved the king suite and the view of the sound! The kitchen was well stocked with GREAT pots, pans and dishes! Loved the fact that the icemaker kept up with ice making. The screened in back porch was great to eat many of our meals in and also play multiple games of cribbage. My favorite spot in the entire house was the hammock swing on the back deck. I spent many hours sitting in it reading and watching the water.

We had a great time! Convenient to everything we wanted to see & do. Super pet friendly, no carpet to worry about & we loved the fenced in backyard. The fishing off the pier was great and the sunsets were fantastic! Met some neighbors and the gardener and they were very friendly and full of information about the area. Fantastic location. If you love fishing, boating or have puppies this place is for you. It's close to restaurants and beaches. It's about 30 minutes away from Manteo. Manteo is a cute little town. Kees vacations is great at communication so if you have any questions/issues they will address them.

Our stay was excellent in every way, the location was clean and organized on arrival with plenty of space and amenities. WiFi works great, our dog loved the fenced front yard as well. About a 15-20min drive from most beaches and very quiet, would definitely recommend! Lots of human touches like the guestbook to make you feel at home.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, great sunset view. Easy drive to the beaches, as well as Sanctuary Winery and Weeping Radish Brewery. Had great hot dogs at PK’s and delicious Indian dinner from Masala just a mile or so away. We love great dog friendly options. The small fenced in garden was a nice bonus. And a nice big, grassy yard with no sand spurs was appreciated. We loved the decor and personal touches. The master suite is huge and comfortable. The room with the double bed is very small and there’s only louvered doors, no solid door for this room so anyone sleeping there will hear when others get up to make coffee. That was our only criticism, and we still give 5 stars since everything else is so enjoyable. We saw 2 bald eagles and multiple tundra swans fly over the cottage. And a pileated woodpecker next door. Great natural setting. We will return to this house, maybe not when booking for two couples, though.

Had a wonderful weekend staying at this incredibly calming and restorative waterfront home! We felt at peace the whole time while fishing on the dock, sunbathing in the yard or on the deck, and taking in the beautiful views!l from inside and outside the house! Very quiet area and the gorgeous gardens on the property allow for a meditative stroll. We will book this home in the future for sure! Short drive to the main OBX beaches, which we didn’t mind at all because sometimes it’s nice to be secluded away from the noise and this home did that! Highly recommend!

We were sad to leave this place! The master bedroom was so cozy and with a perfect view of the albemarle sound from bed. We definitely appreciated tv in the master and living room for winding down at night. Love love loved being right on the sound! My husband and I were talking about it when we were leaving and we said that after driving as far south as hatteras island there is probably nowhere else on the outer banks that we would prefer to stay. The yard and outdoor space was a HUGE plus for our dogs. Location is close to everything but still private and safe and quiet. One note of advice…do come prepared for mosquitoes in the summer! We did have one night where there was some kind of mass mating and migration going on and it was a bit like a plague outside lol. There was bug spray in the laundry room area but we did also pick up some more foggers and a yard spray. Definitely helped and they seemed to mostly move on by the next day. You are on the water, so bugs are not a surprise! But being prepared might help you make your stay that much more enjoyable 🤗. We would love to come back!

It was about a ten minute drive to the public beaches where we could have our dogs (check NC public access beach rules for dates). The AC is in wall unites, but they work well. If you want a relaxed waterfront retreat with entertainment options, this is great.

This is a rare gem! Windows across the entire back of the house facing the sound gave spectacular views of sunsets and sunrises. Wake up and look at the water and sky from your bed! Comfortably furnished. Kitchen has anything you’d ever need. Beautiful deck and pier. Very close to OBX but away from the crowds. Hope to stay here again!

If you want a quiet getaway right on the sound with a dock for launching kayaks, this place is for you. Go to sleep with the sound as a lullaby. Master bedroom has perfect wide open view to the water.

We loved every minute at this place! It's within 15 minutes of the beaches with an additional wonderful water view out back! It's also close to Jockey's Ridge State Park with the sand dunes, make sure you check that out! The house is well stocked, we could do our own cooking no problem if we wanted to. Paradise in a house
I loved this home, the owner did such a good job of detailed thinking of everything, from kitchen to the bathrooms...It was excellent to be able to swim just in front of the home, the morning coffee on the deck, 180 degrees horizon sea, and the sunsets....Ahhh the sunsets...It even has a Kyoto Zen garden in the back, everything I wanted...Thank you...Price not too cheap but so worth for the value..

Waveny Cottage
This was a very nice cottage we really enjoyed it. The only complaint we really had was that some of the main doors are hard to open and close, a lack of Tupperware and the screened in porch needs some repair. We really enjoyed the theater system, and that you can't hear anything from the living area while you're in the master bedroom, with the doors closed. Great for when the kid went to bed and we could listen to music and watch movies without disturbing him. We could go on and on but this place was great. Seriously considering coming back next year. Thank you so much.
