Magical!
This home is without a doubt Magical! The views are absolutely breathtaking, we saw Dolphins every morning right from the balconies. This house had everything you could possibly need and so many things to do! I was very impressive with the Media Room, great for multiple people to enjoy movies together and feel like you’re in an actual theatre. Every bedroom is set-up flawlessly from decor to bedding and the furniture everything was so well put together. I just can’t say enough about how impressed I was, every room seemed to keep impressing my family even more. We loved the heated pool and hotub, having the outdoor showers was a great bonus!! Will be choosing this home for many visits to come!

Friends getaway
We stayed as a group of 11 adults, the house is beautiful and has everything you need. Very clean and decorated so nice. No matter what you wanted to do, swim, watch a movie, play games or relax, this home has it all. Would highly reccomend!

Fabulous!!
It wasn't just a vacation it was an experience at Elanore Dare! The home was absolutely beautiful! I went with a group of friends and enjoyed that I could spend time with them and have my privacy as well. I was very pleased with the comfortable private room, the movie theatre, personal hot tub and pool. There’s nothing like walking directly out to the beach to watch the sunrise with a private gazebo and beach chairs waiting. I loved that if you wanted to leave the house (idky) you'd find that the restaurants and stores are convenient, within walking distance. I'll definitely be returning to make many more precious memories!

A Magnificent House in Nags Head
We’ve met family and friends for the past three years at this magnificent house for our pre-holiday vacation week. It's a perfect location to stop on our way from Florida to VA, MD, and WV to spend the holidays with other family and friends. The amenities in this house have exceeded our expectations. The house is nicely decorated and always clean. And the gorgeous views are unparalleled, especially the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We enjoy the relaxation and tranquility of mid-December on the ocean. It’s a perfect time to take in the sounds of the ocean and to watch the seabirds and occasional dolphins from the awesome decks and gazebo. We also like the proximity of this house to nearby shopping and restaurants.

Fun for Xmas on Nags Head
We had a 4-gen Christmas week at the Eleanor Dare cottage, and it turned out great. We walked the beach, rode bikes (e-bike rental), shopped, played golf and even fished one day. The cottage was great for spreading people out for games and movies, and for bringing everyone together for breakfast and dinner every day.

Our Stay
Eleanor Dare House is a great place to go to and relax, sitting by the fireplace and reading is awesome. We go down in December with family and friends, always have a good time. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I always tell people about this house in NC.

Peaceful retreat on the beach of the OBX
Eleanor Dare is a perfect retreat for a long term stay or even a few days, just a short private walk to the beach. Huge open floor plans with plenty of comfortable bedrooms. Massive kitchen that is equipped with all you need to entertain. Upstairs balcony that allows unrestricted views of the ocean. Bottom patio with a pool that is very well designed. Theater room for those rainy windy days with theater seating. Behind the theater there is an awesome arcade/table game setup. Highly recommend a stay here.

2024 Family Vacation
We truly enjoyed our stay at this house. Its location is great. The room for families to spread out and have their own space (especially with such a wide variety of ages - 69 to 8) was a welcome treat for everyone. The ocean view is stunning. Lots of fun places within walking distance.

Great House For Large Groups
This is the 2nd time we stayed at this rental. It’s a great house for big groups and all ages! It had plenty of rooms to accommodate Our family of 17, a baby, 4 kids under 5, 13 teenagers and adults comfortably. The proximity to the beach outside the back door and the private pool was unbeatable and why we keep coming back. Thanks for hosting us!

Large family visit

This was a multi-generational vacation and it was absolutely wonderful! We swam, collected shells, played games, saw the sunrise and a pod of dolphins jumping…..they must have felt like we did! I The people at Kees made it so easy for us with excellent instructions both regarding checking in and leaving. If you’re looking for a terrific place to relax I really recommend Eleanor Dare.

This is a great house with a lot of space for several families. The relaxation of the beach and views are just magical. I went with my children and grandchildren and other family members and there was plenty of room for everyone. We were 10 adults, three children and a small dog. The kids loved the pool and the adults the hot tub - both of which are very clean. The daily beach chair and tent service were a wonderful addition. The house is comfortably decorated with some great beachy artwork. It wasn't so fancy that we had to constantly be worried about the kids like we've had to do at other places. The game room and theatre room were enjoyed but the AV systems are hard to use even though we had my son who does this type of thing for a living.

If you are looking to stay in Nags Head this is the place. Home had everything one would be looking for. Location is extremely central to things to do within the area. You are also right in the middle for wanting to do things up north or down south. The beach was amazing and extremely private. There is not enough that I can say as to how great this place was. I loved the house and location. I can definitely say that my first time in OBX was unforgettable. I am now thinking to buy a property like Eleanor Dare in OBX. The whole process it was very easy, I have never experience anything like it. Last property I rented in MD, the requested background check from my husband and I. KEES was way to easy I couldn't believe it.

I am grateful for how spacious it was and the level of detail in their cleanliness. I don't need any kid rooms for the retreats I facilitate so having a double twin room instead of a bunked kids space was extremely helpful to serve grown women! Loved my stay here and will definitely be booking it again! The retreats I do 2x a year will probably continue to be at this residence! Loved it!

Pre-Holiday Madness
So happy we chose this house. We wanted a little family vacation before Thanksgiving and Christmas prep was off and running. It was perfect. We had so much fun. House is beautiful. Had a good time playing pool and the arcade game. We couldn't find the ball for foosball but we had a lot of other things we could do. Couldn't ask for anything better. Even the weather cooperated.
