What a lovely little bungalow! Our family loved the time we spent here and were so happy to be able to bring our Dog to enjoy the beach vacation as well. The property itself is so charming and cute. Perfect access to the beach. The host was responsive and had clear instructions for everything we could need from checkin/checkout procedures to local recommendations for things to do and where to eat. Would absolutely stay again!

Lovely property

We visit OBX at least 3 times a year. This is our first time booking this location, and it was well worth it. The house is set back in the lot eliminating any street noise, and you only need to cross the street to have access to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was great! Steps away from the beach. The beach was quiet and not crowded which we loved!
The home was as described and the photos were accurate.
One thing I didn’t notice ahead of time- there was no WiFi at the home I would also recommend bringing pillows and throw blankets from home.
They offer starter paper products and dish soap- plan on bringing extra.

Kees does small things that make a huge difference. That is what sets them apart from the rest. Not having to carry a container filled with sheets for the whole house to figure out whose is whose and make beds when you are exhausted was AWESOME. And the small welcome kit with starter supplies was what sets Kees apart from the rest

House as described
The house was perfect for us and we would rent it again. However, the small porch bedroom should be described as pretty small and really only for a small bed. The window off the kitchen should have glass out in it for noise reduction. The small bathroom has a narrow shower. Workable, but it is hard for normal tall people to use it. The other bathroom is roomy and very nice. The kitchen had everything that was needed. The Kureg and regular coffee pot was especially nice. Living room spacious with plenty of comfortable seating.

Charming, well-located beach cottage
This beach cottage was perfect for our family of 2 adults & 3 teens. Old-school but recently renovated with an especially spacious and lovely master suite. Well-equipped kitchen and generous sitting area. The beach is a quick hop over the dune--less than 5 minutes from the front door to the ocean. Central to restaurants and other communities. Highly recommended!

SeaShell Bungalow is a great little cottage. Sets back off the road and has super easy beach access...love that everything is on one level too. No lugging up flights of stairs! House had everything we needed except trash bags and kitchen wrap (foil, plastic wrap, etc.) Keurig was not working on the first day so we notified Kees and they sent a brand new one the very next day. That was a very welcome surprise. There is a very convenient outdoor shower in the yard, lots of outdoor seating, comfortable (casual) furnishings inside, AC works great and plenty of ceiling fans throughout. Really cute and cozy for a small family to enjoy without the surroundings of McMansions. Would have loved to bring our dog...it is a perfect dog house. Happy to recommend for anyone who wants a little peace and quiet at the beach.

Excellent location, great stay!
Fantastic location, a short walk across the road, over the dune, and at the beach! The house was absolutely precious and charming, stocked with all we needed. We had plenty of room for our family of 6, ages late teen to toddler. We had a bit of trouble receiving the check in emails, but remedied over the phone. Our first visit to OBX was a memorable one. Amazing Location, Relaxing Time
Cozy home, relaxed feel, a literal one minute walk from the beach, how could you ask for anything better!? This 3 bedroom bungalow was great for a week escape from the worries of work and life. Equipped with smart TVs in the rooms, board games, coloring books and kids games, and fully stocked kitchen. There was nothing we felt we were missing. Catching the sunrise from the window every morning, and popping across the street to catch the rise above the ocean was a highlight of the stay. Located in Kitty Hawk, there were so many great food spots nearby, and also close to the other little towns of Duck (go catch the sunset here!), Southern Shores, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head if you wanted to explore a bit. Manteo is also close by. If you don't want to eat out all the time, there's a fully stocked kitchen, and groceries/stores nearby to get you everything you need. Prep your meal and head out to the lovely wrap-around private deck to enjoy the beautiful weather, or take a seat at the large kitchen table. We were a small group ranging from 2 years old to 75 years old, so the driveway pulling up to the off-the-direct-street house was perfect - easy for loading/unloading the car, and not having to worry about the kids running into the street. And the minimal steps (3 in total) was ideal for this rancher home for all of us. After exploring or relaxing on the beach, you can wash your feet off with the water shower outside on the deck, and head in for a very comfortable shower in the lovely and spacious master bathroom! And when ready for sleep, the beds are comfortable with a ceiling fan in each room to help you with an extremely restful night. I can't stop dreaming of my return to this lovely home, just a minute walk from the beach and proximity from all the things I could ever need on an beach getaway. This was my first time to the OBX, but it definitely will not be my last!

There is not one thing I didn't love. Who could ask for more? It is clean and well maintained. It is a one minute walk to the beach. Private parking and one level living. Packing and unpacking was a breeze with the driveway pulling right up to the door and not a lot of steps. The house came equipped with board games for the rainy days. There are plenty of electrical outlets (those with kids and devices will appreciate). We cooked in the fully stocked kitchen but you are close to plenty of restaurants. There is a washer/dryer in the house which is wonderful! The ONLY complaint we had is that we had to go home. This is a house that you can imagine yourself living in. So cozy and comfortable. 5 stars!

Lovely beach cottage
We spent a few days in Kitty Hawk at the Seashell Bungalow. With a spacious covered front porch, cheerful decor, and proximity to the beach, we absolutely loved our stay. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, we each had our own space to rest and relax. The kitchen and dining room area was large, with a kitchen island to add extra cooking space and cabinets fully stocked with all the essential dishes and silverware. The living room had large windows that overlooked the front yard, providing plenty of light and an unobstructed view of the sand dune across the street. Just 10 steps from the bottom of the driveway is a non-public beach access point. My favorite part was waking early to make a mug of coffee in the Keurig and running across the street in my pajamas to watch the sunrise. We even saw a couple of dolphins! Though the cottage might look small on the outside, it was anything but on the inside. We will certainly be back, thanks for a great few days!

The check in and check out procedure was incredibly easy and the quaint atmosphere was a very welcomed change from our daily hustle and bustle. Would highly recommend this cottage for a getaway! Perfect beach getaway
This is a well-maintained and nicely furnished home with the beach access right across the street. After a long day at the beach, the outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing the sand off. The Master Bedroom is large and the kitchen had everything that we needed. Definitely would stay again.

Wonderful place literally across the street from the beach. Beach access is directly in front of the house. The house looks deceivingly small but once you enter, the house layout can easily accommodate 6-8 people. The house has all the kitchen tools you need. There's also a gas grill in the back, a decently sized porch, and a shed with some beach gear.
Overall a great experience.

We had a great time at this house. It is close to the beach, close like just crossing the street, and has everything you’ll need, appliances, A/C, TV, Beach toys, gas grill, ...
It was the best choice to enjoy some quick vacation and “social distance”. The beach in front is super calm and not crowded at all.
