Drop dead gorgeous
The views of endless water on spacious porches of every level are incredible. The stars were sparkling - I saw constellations that I've never seen before. The skies and water were life changing - incredible shooting stars and magical sunrises and sunsets. The sound is beautiful and the home is spacious and thoughtfully outfitted. We loved the games and couldn't get over the views from every room. There were great restaurants in Hatteras and Frisco but we also picked up incredible seafood from the local markets and cooked it at home. As if this was not enough, the ocean is right across the street with a private beach. There is no better vacation home!

Stunning view
We absolutely loved staying on the sound side of the Outer Banks instead big ocean side. The windows gave us an unparalleled view, watching the windsurfers, the birds and the sunsets. It was so peaceful. We even enjoyed our one day of rain. There was a comfortable big chair in the window I sat in and viewed it all We kayaked on the sound everyday. The walk to the beach was easy. We also enjoyed playing ping pong. Highly recommend. The only improvement I could recommend is more heavy duty curtains in the master bedroom, the sun rises early and it was bright, stunning view from the windows though!

Best vacation ever
Wish I could take the credit for finding this gem, but I'm happy to have been invited. The drive down the island felt like it took forever, but the it was the last 15 miles that really changed the vibe. You could feel stress melt away as the business and traffic dropped. There are still great restaurants and activities. We loved the escape room and my wife said her massage at the nearby spa was amazing. We went on boating adventures to collect shells. We went on a dolphin tour. We really enjoyed the nature centers (we went to two and they were both very close), went to several bars and enjoyed local brew, and even went to okracoke. All of that was amazing. The people were so friendly and kind. The sun, the wind, the ocean and sound. Unforgettable. But this house and it's location topped it all. From the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep, the views and sounds of the sound surround you. The ocean is just steps across the street. I've never seen a more perfect set up. The home is spacious, well stocked, and the perfect place to relax. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing rental house choice, we wanted to take a day trip to Ocracoke and Fresno is very close to the car ferry at Cape Hatteras, which to our pleasant surprise was “free”. The ferry is slightly over 1 hour and makes trips almost every 30 minutes until late at night during the summer months.
The house has a lot of stairs, stairs up to access the 1st floor, which is mostly a foyer, more stairs to access the 2nd floor where the bedrooms and laundry are, and up more stairs to the kitchen/living quarters. I can handle stairs but even for me it was a lot, however, once you get up them, the view of the bay is something that cannot be beaten! The views can be seen from the 2 larger bedrooms, with access to a deck, on the 2nd floor as well. My husband and I both agreed that we saw one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL sunsets we had ever seen! The sunrises were amazing as well, but there is something special about the sunset from the position of this house, it is truly amazing!
On other notes, we felt like towels and blankets were well stocked and the home was clean, but if you are driving in, then bring extra soap for the dishwasher and laundry and if you want to cook, bring your own spices, because there is absolutely nothing left from others in the kitchen. However, the kitchen is extremely well stocked if you want to cook. If you don’t want to cook and you are a real foodie, then I don’t have but one suggestion and that is Tavern on 12, the food was great and they have daily specials to break up the menu, but restaurants are not the strong suit of this area, in my opinion.
Lastly, Keys does a great job with communication on all accounts, so overall we were pleased with our stay and happy with our choice, thank you!

Location location location
Unbelievable 360 degree views. Loved the views of the bay and the short walk across the street to lay out on the beach. Immediate peace and serenity. Such an incredible location.

Perfect spot
This is ten thousand times better than ocean front. Amazing views in every direction. From inside or from the wrap around deck. The Ocean is right across the street with ideal beaches for skim boarding and great waves for surfing. We went on beach walks for miles in each direction, collecting shells and watching dolphins. But the best is the sound. It's shallow and sandy and absolutely ideal for fishing, windsurfing, kite boarding, or just blowing up a floaty and enjoying the world's largest pool. We had a few rainy days and enjoyed the selection of movies and games and the escape room down the street was great! We loved the shell outings in the family adventure boat. The home is so well appointed and comfortable! We can't wait to come back.

The location was absolutely perfect for our type of vacation we were looking for. Dead on spot for us to windsurf on the sound side and kids crossing the road with surf boards in hand for ocean side. I didn't have to drive up and down the coast looking for the surfing waves. It was our first time, and going back again. I found my new vacation spot.

Get-a-way with friends for rest and relaxation!
Great view! Comfortable! Well stocked! Excellent place to rest and relax, especially in the winter. Loved the hot tub. Need better sign at end of driveway as we had trouble finding it in the dark and the driveway was flooded.

Million dollar views, beach AND sound
Kids can play in the sandy sound, adults loved paddle boarding, and we could all get to the beach in moments. It was so nice to have everything so close - we even walked to a restaurant. Pizza delivered, and the risky business seafood market was so delicious we were able to prepare it all in our well appointed kitchen. We loved the layout of the house too. The stars were gorgeous. Cant wait for next year!

Beautiful house
We stayed at this property and everything was great we got there and the hot tub was not right they actually came to us and told us and had it fixed the very next morning!! The house had everything we needed and cabinets were labeled with all of their belongings for easy cleanup we knew exactly where everything went! Beds we super comfortable as well.

Windscape is unbeatable
Several of our neighbors have been going in together on summer vacations for nearly a decade. We usually get huge houses on the beach. This time we got two houses and we all spent all our time at this one. The views are a million times more amazing than ocean mansions where the dunes are so high you can't see the water. And the ocean is just as close as ocean front houses! It's private waterfront soundside, where you have tranquil privacy. It's a great change from outer banks postage stamp homes. This home lives large, has everything you could want, and the views and location can't be beat. Every morning we decided between beach and sound and it was so nice to have convenient choices. Highly recommend Windscape!

Own the whole point!
We've stayed at plenty of "soundfront" properties, but you always end up launching from weeds or walking through mud to get to decent water. This home owns the entire point! Hundreds of feet of water front! We picniced right by the water and were out there all day. Even my wife who is not big on water with fish in it bought a pool float and had a great time in the sound. As if this is not enough, you are a fast walk in a deeded boardwalk right to a private beach on the ocean! The house is great too, but nothing beats the property and location. Paradise.

Heaven
The views are incredible. We spent most of our time on the deck watching kiteboarders and windsurfers and soaking up sun and the sights and sounds of the sound. I ran on the ocean every day and the kids skim boarded and boogie boarded. The sand has a long flat area perfect for skim boarding. The ocean center down the street was great too. Location location location! This is the best vacation we've had.

Christmas in the Outer Banks
Gorgeous. This home is unbelievable. The layout is fabulous, Wi-Fi was better than ours at home, the wraparound views are unbeatable. Frisco and Hatteras are decked out for the holidays and the beach, which is right across the street, was perfect for morning runs. The currents coming up from Hatteras make the water here much much warmer than even in Rodanthe, but it is night and day compared to Kitty Hawk and Duck. There were still surfers in the water and good fishing too. This is an amazing place to stay in the winter and we will definitely be back!

Short Fam Vaca
The house was amazing. Everyone enjoyed the house and the hot tub my grandson even went fishing on the sound. The beach access was easy to navigate. All in all it was an amazing getaway and property.

Amazing
Windscape is a stunning property with gorgeous panoramic views of the sound from the walls of windows and multiple decks. The bedrooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean. The kitchen has everything you could need and more. Plenty of living room space for family and friends. Loved watching the birds, fish, and otters from the Adirondack chairs on the deck. Windy days brought out kite surfers to watch zoom past across the water. Easy access to the sound just steps from the house. The beach is a quick walk across the road and behind one row of houses. The house is clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay at Windscape again!

Great fishing! On the beach and in the sound. Amazing place. We spent most of our time soaking up the great outdoors. There is a great nature center right down the street. But we also loved ping pong and the mountains of games and movies. Whole family can't wait to come back.

Windscape is a dream come true
This is the most amazing location. I love the home, the layout, the views, the amenities, the restaurant you can walk to (fried platter and crab stuffed mushrooms are amazing), 300 degrees of sound views, the ocean right across the street. This is a nature lovers dream. The stars were absolutely incredible - and there is even a telescope that we used to see the craters on the moon and the spot on Jupiter. The sound is safe and has a firm bottom (not mud). We had a blast volleying balls and running around. We even had a pool float with a beverage holder out on the sound for unmatched luxury. The decks offer a good mix of sun and shade. The layout gives so many different really incredible hang out locations that we always felt we had enough space, but at the same time the home allowed us all to gather together. We rented several homes but all of us ended up hanging out here during the day. Hands down best home - probably on the east coast, but definitely on the outer banks.

Kiteboarding and windsurfers dream
This home has the most incredible views from every single room and deck. This is a true vacation. Still has great restaurants and nearby amenities in every direction - Frisco and Hatteras (lifeguards man the beach down the street if you don't want your own private beach right across the street). My favorite part is the sound. Every single bedroom overlooks the sound. Gorgeous views. Every single deck, and the eagles nest area is so cozy with unobstructed views - I saw otters playing in the sound while working (great wifi too - super fast). For those here for water sports there is no better house. There is a gentle slope with firm sand so you can wade right in. No banks or rocks to worry about. There is an enclosure on the side of the house opposite the garage to store all your gear, complete with hooks to hang anything you want off the ground. The shower outdoors under the garage is immaculate. There is also a full bathroom with shower inside the ground floor up the ramp directly facing the sound. The wind is ideal and you can easily sail in either direction with an easy trip back to the house. There is also a top of the line weather system set up so you can see detailed barometric pressure, wind speed and direction and trends, humidity and more. The house is the most well appointed I've ever stayed in. They have beach chairs, buckets and beach gear, even a beach cart and two kinds of coffee makers and an extremely well stocked kitchen, to include cleaning supplies. I appreciated the extra blankets. They really went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The stars are unbelievable - even the air feels fresher out here - this is a true slice of paradise. The beach and the sound felt like they were just for us. What an amazing location and incredibly well appointed home. Every day was filled with incredible memories and we can't wait to return.

Blown away
This is the most incredible home I have ever stayed in. We have been coming to the outer banks for decades. This home is on a point that owns incredible sound front in multiple directions, with endless water views. It’s a dream for kiteboarding, paddle boarding or kayaking, crabbing, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, and bird watching. The water is warm, the bottom is sandy and firm, and there were amazing kiteboarders and windsurfers to watch who must know this is the place to be. There is a great shallow area where we played volleyball in the water right in our backyard. Windscape is stocked with tons of movies and games, beach chairs, and so much more. There is a holding area for storing kites and boards to one side of the house. The hot tub is incredible - it almost has an infinity pool type view because of the orientation and views. The Viking grill on the top deck was killer. We grilled amazing fish caught right out back. This home is wonderfully appointed. If all of this wasn’t enough, we could walk across the street and had a private boardwalk to the ocean with a beautiful beach filled with amazing shells, and great waves. You can walk to one restaurant, and others are a short drive away. The frisco beach is just down the street if you prefer to have a lifeguard, and there is a nature center about a mile down the road that has a really interesting marsh walk. Nestled between Frisco and Hatteras, Windscape is surrounded by gorgeous water with wide decks with both sun and shade and plenty of activities for every group to enjoy.
